- Town of Milton, NH: Incorporated in 1802 and located in the Northeast section of Strafford County. The principal villages, Milton and Milton Mills, combine to encompass twenty-seven thousand acres and has a year-round population of approximately four thousand citizens.
- Town of Lebanon, Maine: Lebanon was called Towwoh by the Newichawannock Abenaki tribe, whose main village was further down the Salmon Falls River. On April 20, 1733, the Massachusetts General Court granted Towwoh Plantation to 60 colonists, who first settled it in 1743. The township was incorporated on June 17, 1767, renamed Lebanon after the biblical land of Lebanon. It was Maine’s 23rd town.

- Maine Lakes Environmental Association: a nonprofit organization guarding against the destructive impact of harmful human behaviors on lakes. Through action, advocacy, and scientific analysis, we protect the economic, recreational, and environmental value of clean water for future generations.
- NH Lakes Lay Monitoring Programs: Scientists, students, researchers and volunteers dedicated to the preservation and sound management of lakes through citizen-based monitoring and research. The Lakes Lay Monitoring Program (LLMP) is administered jointly through the UNH Cooperative Extension Natural Resources Program Team and the Center for Freshwater Biology at the University of New Hampshire.
- NH Department of Environmental Service: The mission of the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services is to help sustain a high quality of life for all citizens by protecting and restoring the environment and public health in New Hampshire. The protection and wise management of the state’s environment are the main goals of the agency.
- Maine Department of Environmental Protection: DEP is responsible for protecting and restoring Maine’s natural resources and enforcing the state’s environmental laws. Their charge is to preserve, improve and prevent diminution of the natural environment of the State. The Department is also directed to protect and enhance the public’s right to use and enjoy the State’s natural resources.
