The Board of Directors of TPPA are very pleased to announce the 2022 recipient of our Scholarship Program. She is Olivia Duprat. Olivia graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas High School, ranked 9th out of 99 seniors. Her Social Studies teacher described Olivia as an “exemplary student and role model for others. She displays a great work ethic while showing a love for learning.” Olivia has an impressive resume including participation in the Environmental Club, Academic Worldquest, Volleyball, and a member of the National Honor Society and Spanish National Honor Society. Her community service includes, The Run for God Childcare, St. Thomas Aquinas Craft Fair Volunteer, and several activities sponsored by the Milton Recreation Department. She has been a valuable worker for the Milton Recreation Department serving as Gatehouse Attendant/Boat Inspector from 2019 until the present. She is also employed by Aroma Joe’s. Last summer, Olivia helped with the production of the video “Milton Three Ponds—Ours to Protect and Preserve,” of which she says, “I learned much about the value of this resource and remain committed to preserving our ponds for future generations.” Olivia applied and was accepted to six colleges. She will attend Fairfield University in the Fall where she will pursue a career in nursing with a minor in psychology. The TPPA Board of Directors will present Olivia with her scholarship check at our annual meeting and cookout on August 13th. We all wish Olivia the very best!
